Here is your summary of weekly DIYbio related events, around the worldOn Sunday, Oakland has a course on DNA design and placement into living systems, while showing how to make bacteria glow.  On Tuesday, Somerville is having an open house, and  Vancouver is making an open source version of a widely publicized time-efficient food.  On Thursday, Brooklyn is having a talk on engineering the human microbiome with synthetic biology, Denver has a course on beginners use of widely used computational and visualization software, and Ljubljana is engaging in some moss graffiti.  On Friday, Sunnyvale has a demonstration of a free iGEM version of DNA design software.  On Saturday, Montreal has a lesson on bacteria culturing, on the way to setting up their community worm lab

On Wednesday Austin is having their first meetup of the year, in Mountain View there is a conference on biotech’s societal and economic impact, and Oakland is offering a big discount to the Mountain View event. On Friday Baltimore has a mini-symposium featuring three high school extracurricular synthetic biology club projects

For the remainder of this week, on Monday you can help with the DNA bar coding of Alaskan plant species in Brooklyn. On Wednesday, after a hiatus, San Diego begins growing e coli samples obtained from Sunnyvale. On Thursday, Denver is hosting a presentation on Somatic Cell Nuclear TransferParis is restarting their Coglab effort with some expert talks, and Brooklyn has a talk about an art exhibit on DNA sequencing.  On Friday, Toronto has a talk on reviving extinct species.  On Saturday, Oakland carries out an Intro to Synthetic Biology course, and on Sunday, Seattle hosts the first annual SWARM conference.
